The mission of Heritage Christian School (HCS) is to prepare and equip students to live in a manner pleasing to God and according to Biblical principles, and to succeed academically and professionally in today’s world. We exist to tell the next generation the deeds, statues, and laws of the Lord that this generation would set their hope in God and keep His commands. (Psalm 78:4-8)
Heritage Christian School seeks to develop young men and women who think Biblically, embrace a Christian worldview, and are Godly members of home, church, and society. We accomplish this by striving to accomplish the following goals in each student:
1. A personal testimony of salvation by Jesus Christ
2. Moral and ethical character development (including positive and wholesome attitudes) through discipline and training
3. Academic excellence
Our Vision & Identity Statement
To Train the Next Generation to Know God and Walk in His Ways (Psalm 78:4-7)
Our Core Values:
Who are we? We are:
PURPOSELY BIBLICAL: We believe “all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Therefore, the Bible is our final authority in all matters of life.
UN-APOLOGETICALLY CHRISTIAN: We unashamedly teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ alone as the power of God to salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). Therefore, we boldly proclaim that we are followers of Christ.
CHARACTER FOCUSED: “For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow in His steps.” (1 Peter 2:21). As Christ-followers, we imitate Him and develop the character traits in our lives that reflect Christ.
EXCELLENCE DRIVEN: “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31) We are made in the image of God; therefore, all our work and actions should show His beauty and excellence.
ACADEMICALLY RESPONSIBLE: “Go therefore and make disciples…teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20a) Christian education is disciplining a student to think Biblically. Therefore, the Bible naturally becomes the center of all academic subjects.
